One last trip

Sixth class had one last trip together on Thursday. First we climbed Slieve Glah together. It's the second highest point in County Cavan (next to Cuilcagh Mountain). We could see so much from up there: Cuilcagh in Fermanagh, Brews Hill in Arva, Ardkill Mountain, Corn Hill in Longford, Lough Sheelin, Lavey Lake, Cavan Town, Killygarry Church, Shantemon Hill and Mrs White's house!

Next we went to Smith's Restaurant in town, where Brianna's parents, Paul and Sarah treated us to a free lunch, which was delicious.

With some time to spare, we went to the playground.

Last, but not least, we were given a walking tour of the History of Cavan Town. Mr Michael Swords was our guide and we learned so much about our town!. Did you know that used to be a jail where St Felim's National School is now?
